The call from my Urologist team

My consultant's colleague phoned and the upshot is...they recommend surgery. (I was discussed last week and they think I would benefit from it.)

I know. What a decision. It's the tape to support the urethra. Will eventually get an appointment to see her F2F to discuss this in detail.

So, just as well I didn't book any holidays as it looks like a big part, or all of, 2015 will also be on hold.

Yes I know, only I can make the decision to have it done. Said to my bruv, I'm still young enough to want to enjoy life and if it works it could transform that life.

Watch this space.

Well if it gives you a better life then it has to be a positive! Hope it's sooner rather than later - in the winter then you can still get on the allotment in spring or summer, depending...

It's the fact that I'm still suffering post op pain. I'm thinking, ok, have it done now sooner rather than later, so my recovery can continue 'in tandem', for want of a better phrase.

Thanks for that input Gabi. Which one did she have, as there are 3. They recommend the TVTo, (I think), which involves cutting into the 2 groins as well as 'where they cut before'.

Let me check that name.

ETA.

And TVT-O.

That's great news Jazzi, go for it, you would benefit from it in the end.

Good luck. Susie x
