In the days of the 14/15 independent ITV companies (eg, Yorkshire TV, Thames, Granada, etc.) each local company provided their own regular news and weather programmes.
I can understand the BBC not providing that service any more. The poor things just can't manage to do that any more, AND continue to pay their top brass 'silly money' as well.

No, the regional ITV news programmes were at around six o'clock in the evening and lasted for half-an-hour. So you can lie in bed as long as you want!
I don't know whether they had a morning version either, for the same reasons as you!

Yorkshire TV's Calendar is on for around half an hour starting at 6:00PM and deals with local news. They have ten minute news and weather bulletins throughout the day.I think BBC still do Looook North (Northern accent
) at teatime too but as I never watch the despised Beeb, I can't confirm this.

Those arsewipes, who, when visiting a small supermarket cum petrol station, park next to the pumps while doing their shopping thus blocking the pump from use until such time they deign to return to their vehicles and drive off leaving a queue of fuming drivers in their wake.Bstds.

It is so damned annoying when there is a queue building and the person in front is just browsing round the shop and taking their time. Utterly selfish.
