Scooters are cool, Mopeds are naff, a true Brit would not be seen dead on a traditional Moped, if we keep calling it "Moped Crime", we will shame them to a better life!

I realise it's being pedantic, but calling it moped crime really does annoy me. They are scooters - much faster than mopeds, which are not worth a carrot.

Whatever you call it it is just plain wrong.

As for vigilante stuff.

We are in a small village, the Cops are often 40 minutes away on busy nights.

I prefer Community responsibility to vigilante action.

We have a very strong sense of Community and an awful lot of hairy, heavily muscled, very fit agricultural workers who take a dim view of such things.

We also have a few men as well.
