Yet another afternoon out.

Up on Mendip looking down on the Chew Valley Lake boathouse.

There it is, on the left side of the lake.

On the (Somerset) Level(s)

Weir here.

Glastonbury Tor. Do you not see it?

The original church of Saint Michael on the Tor fell down during an earthquake in 1275. A smaller church was later built on the site, but then raided for its stone after the Abbey fell into disuse in the 1500s. Only the tower now remains.

A free history lesson with every thread!

A squadron of cattle.

Mother and baby are doing fine.

A tranquil spot beside a stream ...

with an unusual summer house.

A buttercup meadow.

A modern ruin. Our local garden centre sells them.
