Tess - Ladybirds what are they?
There were tons of them when the first signs of Spring came, all over the washing, in the house, now when you want them they've disappeared, bit like helpful blokes
I'm not sure Ladybirds eat these. They really are gross, larger than the usual aphids on roses etc, or blackfly. They are grey and literally swamp the lupins in the thousands, it almost looks like a woolly carpet on all the stems. Thousands and thousands. Did I mention thousands? It's gross.
I've always done well with my lupins. Never had any problems. Spread nicely, flower 3 times, even though the 3rd isn't as good as the other two.
Ah well.
