Are things likely to kick off, Tiffany? It's strange how I'm always the one who tries to calm it all down and also the one who gets the final blame for doing so.
At the moment I'm just fed up and dreading next year.

Why do they ruin people's Christmasses and holidays? I feel like going away.

Hi

Christmas is the biggest time for divorce starting.

My neighbours were going at it big time earlier.

Maybe you need to tell them that they are no longer invited until they grow up. All my immediate family has passed away. My husband's kids age 47 and 48 are not invited for Christmas. Neither are their children. They always cause fights. It's just not worth it.

I miss my dad most at this time of year. He loved Christmas.

Re: Christmas Day family fallouts

This is one of the reasons I can't be bothered with it all. When I was married the holidays were a nightmare, once my Ex got a drink in him he became a bad tempered lout, he ruined it every year for everyone. New Year was the worst, it's been 22 years since we parted but this time of year still makes me quake.
We packed up and went off on the horses for several hours, it was lovely and peaceful trecking through the hills and we only saw one other couple in the distance all day. Bliss. Just finished a roast beef dinner and now feeling stuffed and relaxing in front of the fire. Bed soon as I'm worn out. Floydy I would just have got in the car and beggered off for a drive and left them to it. I wouldn't be having them back next year either..
