We had two Canadian Geese that lived happily together by the village duck pond but just before Christmas one went missing....someone's Christmas lunch it's thought...I feel so sorry for the one left he always looks so forlorn

I don't think for a moment it was anything to do with ancient rituals dOOd, it is just plain thieving and then either sharing or flogging the meat.

They live in fear on welsh mountainsides anyway but to find they aren’t safe in Northampton !!!

The local Farmers including us had a spell of sheep vanishing, it was a while ago now but my OH had the sheep all moved to the fields either side of the horses, they can't be seen from the road there. The horses are excellent watch dogs too, they start shouting the odds and trotting about if they hear anything out of the norm. We always know if there's anyone around as they are very close to the house.
