Better than Kylie, Britney, Beyoncé and Cheryl Whatever she's calling herself this second who are so far up themselves they don't know whether to speak or break wind.

Re: Janis Joplin

She was certainly one of a kind and very talented but I saw a clip of her recently and she looked so hyped up it made me uncomfortable. I suppose that's what made her unique.
Can't stand todays female singers, useless bunch that all sound the same.

Re: Janis Joplin

she was good but also a troubled soul. Remember seeing a doco some years back on which they interviewed her older sister who painted a sad story about her 'little sister' and a tale really of self-destruction.

Re: Janis Joplin

Janis sang from the soul, which in my opinion, made her what she was

Re: Janis Joplin

She did indeed, Lochsong, unlike today's performers who are, as Cranberry said, a useless bunch who all sound the same, apart from Bjork, Bic Runga and Feist who are original and different.
