EU defence expenditure

Since we're no longer members of the EU, why are we expending vast amounts of our 'dosh' on having a presence in S.E. Europe??? Can we actually afford to do this??? and what happens if the Russians object and everything kicks off??? Can we affford to fight a war against the Russians in Roumania???

Re: EU defence expenditure

Hi

We are members of NATO, a different thing to the EU.

Personally I think that we should keep well out of the Ukraine thing, a very corrupt country run by a bunch of ex Communist Gangsters.

Sanctions are hurting the UK far more than they are Russia, which is a bit daft.

Well we are still in the eu at the moment, I guess we will carry on paying until we leave, then we have to pay for pensions etc so will have a bill when we leave. But not on the scale Eu wants.
