No it doesn't.
It would have little effect on the economy.

Just another mindless stab at the Tories.

As if it would ever happen......my comment was as relevant as the ridiculous claims in the news article.

Re: Another little adventure

Spain will never, ever invade Gibraltar.

They have a history of taking land as well.....just across the water is a prime example...The Canaries.

Re: Another little adventure

They won't invade while they are in the EU. But the Brits in Spain may get a hard time if this turns uglier, if we start tit for tat trade wars etc.

Re: Another little adventure

There are too many Spanish companies registered and enjoying tax benefits in Gibraltar as well as Spanish working there......you only have to see the large numbers crossing the border morning and late afternoon.

Hi

Annie, it is not the UK who have started tit for tat trade wars.

We have voted to leave, the entire process could have been rational and responsible.

The EU have chosen a different path, not only have they chosen to put Gibraltar on the table, which is nothing to do with the EU, but they are also trying to dictate what happens with Northern Ireland.

We cannot be bullied, this is not a fight of our choosing, but it is one we must win.

If we roll over to the EU it will be seen as a sign of weakness, so will make any trade agreements we seek to make in future more difficult to achieve on an equal basis.

The other thing the EU has done is to insist that the UK must leave not only the EU Trade agreement, but also the 80 or so Trade Agreements we had in place as part of the EU.

That would be a devastating blow to our Economy, one which was not foreseen and is totally unreasonable.

It was not our choice to play hardball, we wanted a simple, straight forward divorce with minimum disruption to both the EU and the UK.

The EU has chosen otherwise, not our call, it is entirely their call.

We cannot back down, we have no choice now but to fight.
