I hate secrets, if you have a secret keep it to yourself I don’t want to know, but I suppose sometimes they are necessary, some of us probably have something only we know about and want to keep it that way, well and good.
The only person I would totally confide in is my wife having known her practically all my life, I never had many secrets anyway, other than my admiration of a shapely female left elbow and that all came out one day when she found a photo of Marilyn Monroe's left elbow in my suit pocket as she was getting it ready for the cleaners, a likely story . To be fair she has never repeated anything I told her in confidence, and likewise she confides in me rather than any other family member. If you feel you just have to tell someone a juicy secret you just heard then there is no hope for you, you are an addicted gossip monger and all I can say is God help you.
Still if a secret was forced upon me by a person I would never break that confidence.

I've never betrayed any secrets, but sometimes it was a burden to know them,.
Myself, if I didn't want others to know something, I never said boo to anybody.

I can keep a secret pretty well but my husband is too honest he blurts out everything (part of his apsergers) so I can't tell him anything I don't want blabbed.

Yep its a good quality and I'm one who would never divulge the business of others, that is up to them to do, not me ...

I would keep a secret always providing it isn't about something illegal, which I would divulge to the relevant authorities.
