In practice that is what the UK is doing. A few years after brexit the UK will apply for membership, and be admitted.

Hi

There is no deal, all there is is a withdrawal agreement which gives a Transition Period before a Trade Deal is agreed.

As Michael Gove said. "Nobody voted for No Deal"

Hi

Nope, we are not paying for something we can get for nothing.

Until the end of the Transition Period we have access to the Single Market, which includes Services, our biggest export to the EU.

At the end of the Transition we get a WTO Trade Deal, which will not include Services.

There is no need to fear this, it is how the rest of the World Trades.

We will still have a huge trade deficit in or out of the EU.

This is because we no longer manufacture things ourselves.

Re: A Quick Reminder

To suggest that leaving without a withdrawal agreement means we do not have access anymore to the single market is simply untrue.

To say EU businesses will not buy from us or us from them on 1st Feb if we don't sign up to the withdrawal agreement is just bonkers. There are over 170 countries outside the single market that deal daily with the EU

In short, there is no reason to avoid a no deal exit in your view?

The point was to expose the british voting system for what it is: undemocratic and hopelessly out of date.

In general, the british people feel cosy within the EU and don't want to leave. But it is bon-ton to pick on the EU as the cause for all that is wrong in the UK. But now the moment of departure seems nearing, and many get cold feet.

In case you hadn't noticed the EU are getting rid of votes.

Soon your country will be referred to as a region with a number based on importance.

Hi

My statement was correct, we will no longer be part of the Single Market.

Only EU Members are part of the Single Market.

We will trade with them as others do, which is either WTO Rules or a WTO Free Trade Agreement.

Neither of those will include Services and Free Trade Agreements include Quotas and Non Tariff Barriers.
