A field of peanut hay. Yes, all the peanut photos were taken in Florida. As a retired farmer I was quite interested in the growing of peanuts and watched fields of them carefully. Planted in March, they are cultivated to control weeds. Bloom in July and August...pulled from the ground in October and early November. The rows of pulled vines are sometimes turned to get them evenly dried, then combined by a special peanut combined. Yes the nuts are under ground. Looks to me that light sandy loam soils are peanut fields.
