Most I do these days is the occasional 45min flight home. I do love flying though!

Re: First Time Flying - Where?

My first flight was from Sydney to Perth ( Same as from London to Istanbul approx) with a stop in Adelaide. Seemed like forever but only 5 hours in the air. My next one was from Sydney to San Francisco with one stop in Honolulu. Then I found out what "forever" really meant.

Does this count ....

Cotswold Gliding Club, a number of times when 15-16 circa '67 and still at school. Being a farmer's son, I could drive a tractor so used to pull the tow cable out ready for the next glider to take off. Got lots of free rides in return.

Re: First Time Flying - Where?

The first time I got on a plane I said to the Stewardess " wow we are really high up already. Those people down there look like ants"

She replied " They are ants, we have not take off yet"

Re: First Time Flying - Where?

Talking of flights...anyone interested?
Due to someone dropping out...
Are there any people who are interested in a free helicopter flight? (max. 8 people)
Will be leaving at 8.10am from Birmingham International Airport and first fly direct to Cardiff where we will have breakfast and an hour of shopping. Afterwards we fly to Dublin to enjoy a lunch and a Guinness or two. Later on in the afternoon we will then fly down to London for an evening dining alfresco before staying in a 4 star hotel in the centre of the city. Early the next morning we depart London to be back at Brum in good time for around 11am
If you are interested, please PM me - preferably only someone with a helicopter, as that is the only thing I'm missing.

Sorry..nicked from a mate on fb.
