GE date settled

The general election is to go ahead on 12th December according to this:

Perhaps it will prevent double voting by students? Just need to clamp down on fiddled votes in Haringay and Tower Hamlets now.

Can you be sure about that, what with the debacle over Brexit.

I think that might be behind it. Already I have seen some students on TV complaining that they will not be around.

Re: GE date settled

The Election Bill has cleared the Lords and is now on its way to Royal Assent so we are officially into campaigning and I am sick of it already.

I appreciate preparations for an election take time but I think media discussion should be limited to two weeks to prevent voter overload someing I am already experiencing having been subject to the seemingly endless Abbott slow drawl on the Today programme this morning...

It's for this reason that I will ignore my inclination to vote for the Brexit Party and vote Conservative instead. Anything to keep him and his party out. We'll be on par with Venezuela in a couple of years if that lot gets in.

Hi

Totally agree that Corbyn will be a disaster.

This is from someone who learnt his Politics from Harold Wilson.

I am left of Centre, but in no way a Terrorist supporting Marxist.

I simply cannot vote for my Conservative MP, his votes are all over the place, simply designed to keep him in a job.

A self serving prat who thinks only of himself.

Re: GE date settled

Well I've just laid a bet that I really hope to lose.

I've bet on Corbyn to win even if in coalition. I got 5 to 4. I very rarely bet, it's a mugs game, but it follows a fairly heated conversation at The Lodge a few weeks ago and on this occasion I really think it's worth a punt.

Unfortunately.
