The Crown returns (Netflicks)

The Crown returns to Netflicks on 17th November but with new actors in the parts.

This series stars National Todger (sorry.... Treasure) Olivia Colman as the Queen, She has a lot to live up to after the excellent performance by the charming Claire Foy.

Tobias Menzies plays Phil and Josh O'connor (Durrells) plays Charlie boy. Both good actors imo.

Personally I think it would have been better to keep the same actors but make them look older but we shall see.

Really looking forward to the new series, but will take a wee while to get used to the new actors - the others were excellent, especially Claire Foy.

They were filming up here for the series, a few weeks back at Scrabster Harbour.

Can’t help thinking of Tobias Menzies as Black Jack Randell

The man who takes Harold Wilson looks just like him .

Yes, he was brilliant as Randall.

We also said that about the Wilson actor, he does look like him.

Started watching series 1&2 again. I had forgotten just how good it was. Claire Foy was brilliant as was John Lithgow who gave a truly memorable performance as Churchill.

This is what you call 'acting' - none of that helium filled Hollywood stuff.
