All I can really says is that I wish I could "not get on" in a manner like you!
It is absolutely lovely - I will take it as is ta muchly.


My better half is the creative one, not so much with art but is very creative and is a good photographer as well as crafter & cake maker/decorator.
Me, I'm the DIY-er and chief cook & bottle-washer.

I wish you could ,you could keep my nose to the grindstone !
I start with a rough outline most importantly the eyes and nose
If I get the eyes right I am ok with the rest -more of less
.i use a grid system if I need to enlarge the picture a bit .
Then I try and put in the main areas of dark and light .in this way I build up the drawing or painting but I have the concentration of a flea and wander off which is why much of my stuff is never finished

You have made an excellent job of a difficult picture, Muddy.

The dog can't help his looks but you have depicted what was a difficult challenge into a fantastic result, so well done!

Thank you Trish this drawing is done with Faber castell oil polychromo pencils . They are ok when you get used to them .
