Re: Greedy Royalty!!!
I totally agree with this and I find people who bow and scrape to them most odd people. Or who stand in freezing conditions at Xmas waiting for a glimpse of them.
Re: Greedy Royalty!!!

They may be all of the things previously mentioned or not But like most of us they are entitled to expect a bit of respect. Nor do I think pieces in the press about them be spun and distorted till they bear little resemblance to the truth. By the press or individuals.

Respect needs to be earned, it is not granted automatically merely because they are members of a family of super-scroungers!!!

Re: Greedy Royalty!!!

I think they have done more than enough for this country to earn respect, especially the Queen and Prince Philip. Certainly more than a great many of the so-called celebrities we read about.

I think you have that wrong

Mineral rights under a persons property , same as the air space above, does not belong to the land owner.
Think of a coal mine with tunnels running in any direction the seam goes. No way can every landowner above be asked permission first to extract.

Ownership of mineral rights (more properly "mineral interest") is an estate in real property. Technically it is known as a mineral estate, although often referred to as mineral rights. It is the right of the owner to exploit, mine, and/or produce any or all of the minerals lying below the surface of the property.

The mineral estate of the land includes all organic and inorganic substances that form a part of the soil. Exceptions include sand, gravel, limestone, and subsurface water—which are normally considered part of the surface estate.
