Sorry I misunderstood you. But I think you are wrong about that.

Indeed I am thinking they are either blind or willingly telling lies now. I prefer truth in my politicians and as unpalatable as that can be we can't improve the situation if we can't discuss the truth.

Re: Telling it as it is!!!

There are different ideas over what privatisation means. Yes they are using private providers but that was brought in by labour and carried on by tories. Labour also created the explosion in PFI which has caused so many financial problems.

But Hawking's point was that Hunt had misled in his choice of research over a 7 day NHS. That he cherry-picked the research that suited his argument and suppressed the research that countered it.

Re: Telling it as it is!!!

I recall when I was in hospital (3 times) last year, when senior doctors were covering for the striking juniors, who they supported wholeheartedly, that no matter what day of the week, or time it was, doctors were working. Also, as an outpatient, I recently had an MRI scan at 7.30 pm on a Saturday evening, as did other people. It is a complete fabrication that we do not have a seven day a week NHS.

Re: Telling it as it is!!!

It could be that some of what you've seen with the MRI scan is part of the move towards a 7 day NHS.

It may depend where you are and what you need ceecee, scans, X-rays and many tests etc can't be accessed at our local hospital after office hours, the slightly newer hospital has some of those things after hours but not all.

The main problem seems to be admin not available after hours, the nurses are there, the doctors are there but those doing paper work arent so nothing can be done.
