Re: Labour leadership

Seems to me that before anything else the Labour/Momentum party needs to decide what it's principle objectives are. Until that is done then there can be no leader.

Re: Labour leadership

I've posted before of a persistent theory that many people took advantage of Labour's £3 membership so that they could vote in Jeremy Corbyn, not because he was the best, but in the expectation that it it would lead to the sort of result we saw on 12/12

Latest news is that they have increased the voting fee to £25 in an attempt to prevent that sort of possibility

Well, no matter, as all the current candidates for Leader are equally bad - or good, depending on your point of view

The longer it goes on, the worse they get. Jess Phillips was a complete car crash on GMB today. Absolutely no idea what she was saying, contradicting what she did say and denying what she actually said.

Great news for the Tories

Re: Labour leadership

I see Corbyn has had to shuffle his shadow cabinet seeing as how a lot of Labour MPs lost their seats. I wonder if the lovely Dianne is still there?

Having said that, it appears that arch-Corbynista Rebecca Long-Bailey has thrown her hat into the ring in the leadership contest. She says that:

"The party needs a Socialist leader to fight for the policies pioneered by Jeremy Corbyn"

More of the same then.

ETA John McDonnell is backing "Continuity Corbyn" candidates, Long-Bailey in the leadership contest and Richard Burgon as deputy leader - both Corbynistas.

Marxists still reign supreme in the party it would seem.
