Boris has just won a thumping majority...............That gives him a MANDATE!

For example, the new chancellor, Rishi Sunak, is a Leaver whereas Sajid Javid was a Remainer. Javid was a tight wad Thatcherist type chancellor whereas Sunal is predicted to be looser with the purse strings.

That's essential if Boris is to deliver his one nation brand of Conservatism to the Red Wall regions.

You, Swimmy, do not know if Sunak is a yes man but he does share the vision............. That makes it a strategic success for Boris.

Re: New cabinet!

It makes good sense to me for the PM to surround himself with like minded people who are team players....why wouldn't you do that?

I've heard quite a few commenting on this, the Chancellor, the Home Secretary, the Attorney General, the Secretary of State for Business,Energy and Industrial Strategy, certainly an over representation . The new raj or arrows in the back perhaps?

Hi

One Nation Conservatism?

The Cabinet is filled with Privately Educated who attended Oxbridge.

Their experience of real life as lived by the majority of us is minimal.
