New Immigration System

Hi

The Government have announced the new points based system will be ready for 1st January.

The required earnings figure has been dropped much lower and certain shortages will be kept under review.

There is an awful lot to do to implement this.

High skilled workers will come because of the financial incentive. Low skilled workers should be plentiful within the UK already, but in recent years it seemed difficult/impossible to mobilize them. So if you keep low skilled workers out, boris better have a strategy to get those cohorts of workers into play.

We have plenty of ne'er-do-wells languishing in "holiday camp" prisons serving stupid sentences that mean nothing to them. It's about time they were made to work for their keep in the fields (under strict guard of course).

Hi

We have plenty who can work and do not.

We have work to do, as many do not live in the areas where they are needed.

We also need to train people to do the jobs

Our Benefits System needs a complete overhaul, it is a nonsense.

Your analysis sounds quite logic. But if your solution is not massive relocations of people, what would you offer as a way to start?

Hi

Changes to Universal Benefits, in particular temporary Housing Benefit.

This would allow seasonal working.

Secondly, a clamp down.

People are just going to have to accept that 9 to 5 with weekends off is not an option.

Neither can we pander to whims.

It is easy to claim you are vegetarian or vegan to avoid working in a meat plant or a dairy.

Tough, if you are not prepared to do that you can clean sewers.

Under the header of 'necessity knows no law' I would be for it. At least till the necessity has gone.

You cannot make people work if they do not want to. Not in a free society at least.
