If you're fit and healthy then your livliehood should not come for free.

Not unless you're paying, Annie!

When you say....' You can take a horse to water but you can't make him drink'......What you are saying is that you will supply them with all they need for free and rely on their good nature........That's naive.

When I say ' A horse will always drink when it's thirsty' I'm saying it is better to provide an incentive for people to contribute.....Benefits if you contribute to society.

Put them to work then pay them for that contribution, but only if they conform.

Non-conformists can choose their own path........ Just As Always Was.

Or as they say in Scotland .......The way it's Ay Been

A thirsty horse will always drink !

True, but a free society should not fund their lifestyles if they can't be bothered to work either.

Well from what they say the future is precisely that. The rise of automation could result in payments to people for doing nothing. It's all well saying people are lazy but what is happening is that people cannot find jobs that enable them to have a normal life. Those jobs are disappearing from our world.

People were saying that in the 80s when computers such as the PC came out.

Its all hysterical nonsense.

Probably the reason for China trying to get their hands on jobs around the rest of the world.

A future looms where all of the manual jobs are done by those from overpopulated Countries.

Wonder what jobs there will be for the rest?

Still, lots of ours are now "out of the way" until they complete their university degrees. (Media Studies?)

Hi

Annie, I am not talking about Zero Hours Contracts.

I am talking about guaranteed hours and wages.

The Economy operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

There is no right to weekends off. neither is there a right to 9 to 5 working.

It is a fact of life.

The local meat packing plants work 16 hours a day, they are deep cleaned for the other 8 hours.

The Dairies work 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, including cleaning and sterilisation.

The Sewage works operate 24 7 365 days a year.

These are not badly paid jobs.

They are not glamorous or nice, but you earn a living.

I was referring to the rise of automation across all employment sectors. It has been predicted for years but is only now becoming a reality. So not foreign labour but systems and robotics. Driverless trains and lorries are one example. Drone deliveries. IT diagnosing illness rather than a doctor. Etc.

Yes this is the world we live in but although foreign workers see such jobs as an opportunity, the average unemployed Brit may not be so enthused and you cannot motivate such people when they are not interested.

Perhaps you should do more research if that's what you think. It's very real. We will see big changes in the next 10 to 15 years across all sectors. Unsurprisingly there is resistance. Some see it as progress.

Hi

Well tough.

If they do not take the jobs, then no Benefits.

Benefits are for those who genuinely cannot work.

I am happy to pay more Tax for them, I object to paying a penny in Tax for those who can and choose not to.
