Re: New Immigration System

We REALLY don't need an EU trade deal or any EU deal, certainly no deals of any form before the end of the ludicrously long Transition Period.

Next week these start, and a deal on fisheries needs to be concluded by july. You probably don't have to wait for long to see boris go from squirting to squirming.
Why do you want to elucidate have you bored everyone on your home forums to death ?

I think it's perfectly clear that we're not going to get one either. Another 11 months of threats and demands, that's all. Why waste any more time?

As I've said many times, walk away now and wait for them to come begging us for a deal. I'm sure it won't take long.

Re: New Immigration System

In return for a basic Canada style FTA that benefits the UK and the EU, the EU have decided that in return we need to sign a deal that is basically the Lisbon Treaty.

They still think they are negotiating with Olly Robbins

Have they not listened to David Frosts speech and what Boris Johnson has been saying about walking away ?

Yep, the subject of brexit is dead everywhere outside the UK. You're still fighting it, both internally and extern. Prompting barnier to say:

“Mr Johnson’s spokesman said the main objective of the UK in these negotiations is to ensure that we obtain the economic and political independence of the United Kingdom on 1 January this year, but, no, that is not true,” Barnier said. “The economic and political independence of the UK doesn’t need to be negotiated on its been done, it’s been achieved, that’s what*Brexit*has achieved. It was the will of the UK and they’ve left.

Perhaps they are, and are aware that there's not going to be any deal.

Instead, they're hanging on to our payments by their fingernails, while they decide how they can cope after our payments finally stop!

27 countries all want different things and have different priorities which is why they have come up with about 50 pages of waffle and stupid demands we don't want and voted against in the 2016 referendum.

So far, the EU have a list of many, many things they will need to compromise on, where the UK's only compromise in return is walking away and throwing the EU under the bus.

The EU just don't get it - everything they demand in their negotiating position already ended in Brexit and a majority Conservative government with a mandate to get us out by the end of the year, deal or no deal.
