Re: Local elections

Hi

My Local Council is Toty.

They have made a complete mess of things.

I will not be voting for them.

<ocally, my vote makes no difference, they will get back in.

I think that he backed away, from the recent election, in order to avoid splitting the Tory Vote.

That shows that he understands the dangers.

Maybe Boris should have been the one to withdraw?

People voted in protest against Corbyn. Nige has made it clear he doesn't want to be PM. His manifestos have never had the solidity that mainstream voters require.

Rubbish.
People voted in protest at Brexit not being done, as simple as that, at a time when Brexit came before everything else - or so we were led to believe by our media.

You can't argue that "Get Brexit Done" was ever going to imply
For somebody who has "never had the solidity that mainstream voters require" he did a pretty good job with UKIP, winning the largest UK vote share and 24 seats in the European Parliament from a starting position of ...... ? ? ?

Re: Local elections

That didn't tip the balance, Corbyn did. People did not want Corbyn's crackpot tax and economic policies. Looks like the Tories are going to adopt some of them anyway because of Covid.

Yes they did and all the crackpot theorizing & belief in media bull isn't going to change that.

The biggest thing on peoples minds was Brexit, not some half-baked crud about a leader that had clung on to power for years.
