Happy news
Just opened the post and there is a letter from standard life with our endowment payout, just under £10,000 which is about £8,000 more than they predicted a few years ago when we had to remortgage. So mortgage paid off earlier in the year and now this bonus.Now going to try and persuade my husband if we are staying here we should decorate throughout as it's all looking a bit tired and with this windfall we could pay someone else to do it so it won't be him having to get the paint brushes out (which he hates).
I am delighted for you and think it is well deserved after the catalogue of recent events with which you have had to cope ..

Have to say it's my husbands good sense got this for us as when they said it wouldn't pay the mortgage at the end of the term my vote was to stop paying the premiums but he persisted and it's paid our far more than we expected so any well done is to him for being more trusting than me
