Thanks Zaphod ...the hall will take some work the shocking pink/cherry red will take some covering but its probably the last area to be done...I cant wait to tackle it though.....the colour is so oppressive. The black and white floor is vinyl....thats coming up I'm considering wood...possibly parquet.

Thankyou SF...it will look better with carpets and curtains but you sorta get the idea....the paint colour is Farrow and Ball ...Elephants Breath....had to laugh at the names of their paints one was called Dropped Cloth...the name conjured up an image of a mucky old smelly cloth....I couldn't bring myself to use it
