Re: Anyone here had their appendix out?

I've thought of that... but am a little scared as I don't want them to send me in to have it out when it might not be that

Re: Anyone here had their appendix out?

Just an update...

Saw the GP and he caught up on my notes, noticed that the specialist I saw last year wanted me on a nutritional 'supplement' and some tablets for an ulcer! How the hell did he diagnose that as they didn't do any tests whatsoever! However I am thinking about trying them anyway as the symptoms are pretty close and I did overdo it with chocolate just before these pains started.

Also the dietician left a note for him to prescribe some calcium. So I have 3 things to take!

Not sure I want to take the tablets for the ulcer tho tbh, as I don't think it's wise to without a definitive prognosis. Also those supplement drinks are meant to be flavoured (got to pick them up tomorrow) so not keen on having all the sugar/junk either!

The good news is, I have gone back on detox and the pains have pretty much gone - so do I stick to the detox and let 'nature' do it's thing or go with modern medicine and see if that works quicker and better. I just don't like using my body for an experiment tho!

Tough decision, Azz, Sounds as if the detox is working for you, and you know your own body. The calcium probably won't hurt, guys get osteoporosis too! The supplements sound nasty; I hate those sugary flavored drinks...

I personally would continue with the detox, it seems to be working if the pain is sudsiding, not a fan of pills I am afraid...

It's just the detox is such hard work - and I soooooooo miss not having nice treats.

I will do some research on the pills, and see if there are any long term side effects or downsides from them blocking/reducing your acid production in the stomach :-/

I agree, do some research then make your decision

If you then decide to do the detox and it doesn't help after a few days you could always start on the medication or vice versa.....

Good Luck Hope you're feeling better soon x

I hope the new regime will help Azz, and that you will then be able to reintroduce the more highly flavoured ingredients to your diet. I would hate to have my food resticted.
Can you tolerate herbs? And lemon juice etc?

Yeah - I'm ok with most natural ingredients. It's just the chemical crap that seems to play my up the most :/
