Re: Sleeping habits

Some nights I'll sleep through. Others I wake after a few hours to go to the loo but drop off back to sleep as soon as I go back to bed. Others I can't get to sleep for ages and watch tv for a while.

Yes, OH will snore through it all - oblivious.

Re: Sleeping habits

Takes me about an hour to get to sleep-will usually sleep through for about 7-8 hours unless Hatti dog wakes me by jumping on the bed-go straight back to sleep though. Don't function if I don't get enough sleep.

Re: Sleeping habits

I think it's true we need less sleep as we get older. As a teenager, i could sleep till 10 AM, couldn't do it now. Am awake by 8 AM whether I want to be or not ...

Re: Sleeping habits

I get by on 5 hours a night, I used to have a nap on the sofa a few years ago but I just can't nod off any more.

Re: Sleeping habits

I usually have about 4 hours a night broken sleep. Recently I had a bout of total insomonia where I didn't sleep a minute day or night for a week and a half I had to go too the doctors in the end and get some sleeping tablets so my natural sleeping pattern would kick in after taking them for 3 nights only, which it did, thankfully, so don't need to be on them now unless I have another bout of it. Mind you, it took 3 different types of sleeping tablets before I found the ones that worked! I'm going through the Change

Poor hubby gets alot of migraines because of my poor sleeping.

Re: Sleeping habits

I'm wondering if napping is more a guy thing? My Dad always took an afternoon nap, as do two male friends; I know never to call them about 4ish in the afternoon. That's a small sample but none of my female friends nap either .....
