One of the previous trailers for it said that if you liked Merlin, you will like this. Suits me fine as I was a big fan of Merlin!

Ooh, I missed this one so shall have to watch it on iplayer tomorrow. I loved Merlin and even bought all the boxed sets!

Loved it which is unusual for a pilot usually we are two or three episodes into anything before I say that ! Won't say any more as you haven't seen it yet.

We missed it too, looks like we'll have to use catch up TV as well, probably tomorrow night.

I saw it on catch-up. Mixed feelings. It was quite entertaining, but I couldn't decide if it was serious fantasy drama or a comedy - we'll see how it develops.

I agree. There were too many pratfalls (falling over food carts etc) and that got tedious for me. Even the Minotaur wasn't scary enough.

I've been watching this now each week and I've decided what spoils it for me: the character of Hercules. The BBC don't usually get it wrong but I think they have made a real mistake with this character. The gentle humour between Arthur and Merlin was lovely and really added 'reality' to the characters but in Atlantis, Hercules is just plain ridiculous. If they have any sense, and want the series to be a success like Merlin was, they need to change his character or bring about a very quick exit for him.
