Re: The Mentalist.

The old record of "Running Bear" by Johny Preston just popped into my head.

On the bank of the river stood Running Bear, young Indian brave
On the other side of the river stood his lovely Indian maid
Little White Dove was her name, such a lovely sight to see
But their tribes fought with each other, so their love could never be.

Oh RJ, you brought back so many happy memories with that tune.
"Running Bare" was our favourite, I remember those warm summer nights on Malahide strand, casting everything aside regardless, my sweetheart and I dashing to meet the incoming surf, the breaking spray creating droplets on our young cheeks, and the sand caressing our toes, oh the sheer joy of it all.

Re: The Mentalist.

Thanks JEM, I am pleased that my post brought back pleasant memories.

May I digress.

Nurse Gillian tells me that I smile in my sleep & sometimes chuckle happily. I dream often but usually they go right out of my mind. I wonder if I have another dimension to my life, which co-exists during my REM (rapid eye movements) periods?

I wrote this poem last year, out of the blue

I live two lives it seems to be
One is him and t’other is me
One is clever with some good friends
The other’s lifestyle all depends
On what life events come his way
A crisis looms up every day
So which is the one that’s really me
If I’m truthful there’s really three
Of us crowding this muddled psyche
Though acting alone is quite unlikely
Each day we set out all together
In sun and rain, every kind of weather
When on line I greet my fellow fourth
I wouldn’t be without him, of course
He writes in verse and writes in prose
What he means, gosh, no one knows
But mostly he writes from his heart
That is where a travail must start
So I take my hat off to all my friends
From the four of us.
