Re: Chaps in Chaps.

An absolute favourite for me, gives his all, doesn't hold back, the 'true' sign of a good actor.
I have to laugh at some of the female actors, when they have a crying scene - dont they 'blink' a lot. When you cry, I bet yer face crumples, nose runs etc.....

For me, Clint Eastwood is the iconic cowboy. I also liked Lee van Cleef in some films as well.

Re: Chaps in Chaps.

I love Johnny Depp in most things, but didn't fancy him in this, to much like Jack Sparrow turned native. I liked Clint also Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid, Will Smith in Wild, Wild, West. sooooo Steampunk! Remeber Sunday afternoons, it was a war film or a western, now nowt!

You have a much cleaner and sophisticated mind than I do when I think of Clint Eastwood as a young man Mups

I actually miss those Sunday afternoon films - it was nice to put my feet up after dinner and watch an old film for a couple of hours (well, nearly a couple of hours); there were also a fair few Bette Davis, Joan Crawford - brilliant stuff.
