Re: Optimal health & fitness?

Booze never made me put on weight and I've drank a hell of a lot of it me time, chocolate does it for me every time so I haven't had any since Christmas, I do exercises, nothing fierce mind you, every day without fail and I'm as fit as a fiddle. Pack up the chocs Mark, it's as simple as that.

No one needs to be fit, they just have to believe they are.

Re: Optimal health & fitness?

Some great advice, which I'll probably ignore.

I'm moving towards becoming a vegan.

Re: Optimal health & fitness?

OK - here goes. I just got on the scales and it shows 12st 1.6lb. Immense for me as I was 10st back 6 months ago. Will be tracking my weight loss with a weigh in each week. Anyone that cares to join me by all means do.

Gonna try and go forra jog later on for about 4 miles. Will be jogging on sand in an effort to reduce the impact on my joints. Will also be taking a bottle of water to make sure I stay clear of the offy on the way back.

Weight as of 6pm Saturday 16th May: 12st 1.6lb.

Mark has your injured knee healed at long last? If not, take it easy with any running...

I've had a few jogs on sand and so far my knee has been OK. Few niggles but it seems strong enough now.

Re: Optimal health & fitness?

That is heavy for a runner Mark, but I know you’ll make it back down to the 10 stone, give or take a pound. Stubbornness is a great tool to help lose weight, I know, I can be very stubborn, after going berserk, mainly on chocolate, over the Christmas I was 11st 9lbs, more than a stone over my normal 10st 9lbs, I packed in the chocs and cakes now I’m back to 10st 9lbs, I just wouldn’t give in until I got it off. No need for me to join you now but I really do wish you the best of luck, you know you’ll do it.
