Waxwings.

Waxwings are now being reported up and down the country. It may be the start of an irruptive cycle which occurs every few years.

So keep an eye on your winter berry bushes they are an attractive bird species.

Re: Waxwings.

Defiantly a chance Aysa if you have berry bushes, they love artificial rowen bushes.
Been some at Holt, Santon Warren, and Holme Dunes NWT today in Norfolk, they can turn up anywhere and can form large flock s like Starlings, TY for adding a photo.

Re: Waxwings.

They are lovely birds, but I have never seen one & I would love to. Don't think they ever get this far West.

I've seen flocks just twice in my lifetime...about every 25 years. Wonder what causes the rare migration??

Last time twenty odd years ago there were more twitchers in my garden than sparrows...
