Apparently, 10X will load quicker, and install quicker.
And will work where any other W10 machine will work, as well.
Also Apparently, users having an intel processor and running W10 Pro, with 15GB of spare storage space are able to use this already.
That's possibly where the insiders are lurking, up to now.
"Streamlined" they say?
Isn't it great how as memory tech advances so that we can have ever-larger capacity so too the OS expands and takes up more of that memory.
Who remembers the days when a full-fat installation of Windows 95 took only 55 megabytes?
The Windows version for phones wasn't very successful (and I've had a Windows phone) so let's hope they have learned from their past.
IMHO the phone OS was good; the only thing that let it down was apps compared to Android.
Or rather the lack of them on Windoze; let's hope we don't have the same problem with this.
It's about time we had a serious large-scale competitor for Android and iOS but only time will tell if Win10X becomes or leads to that competitor.
If it really will work effectively, responsively and quickly using 15GB of storage space that's a start; I read somewhere that Android (10, not 11) used 25GB just for system files on somebody's phone.
Google Chrome netbooks need somewhere around 7GB but they're not exactly the best in terms of user experience.
Personally I'm not going to rush out and try it, but if the opportunity arises I won't say "no".
