Were they a breed that used to be docked years ago?
Yes, they were working sheep guard dogs. They look a bit like the sheep and the shepards used to let them mingle in among the flock, they would attack any wolves ect that went for the sheep. The coat gets caught in everything and there was a lot of tail damage, hence the docking. Pashka was the only one I ever had with a rail, and one of the pups had a tail as the buyer asked me to let him keep it.
Thanks Roxy, I thought I remembered something like that once.
I'm glad docking got banned, except I believe some working dog owners get away away with it still.
Did that puppy in his bed, finally come out of it and join in the fun?...
Would you mate your girl again or is she to old now?
That was Patches, and it was his mums bed. The pups were in the big wooden bed we made for them. Yes he came out after a wee sleep, he was quite a shy wee one and Cass bullied him a lot.......wee brat.
All the pups will be passed over the rainbow bridge now. Their mum passed 9 years ago she was 11 and I got Dageus.
