You might like to ask those obviously refusing to follow even simple guidelines on how to reduce the risk of contracting the virus if they have any excuse for putting themselves and others at risk?
There are countless examples to choose from as you cannot fail to realise.
The statistics aren't good but on a brighter note infections are decreasing (while tests are increasing in number, too) which suggests that - as people were warned - while the number of deaths is rising we should hopefully see signs of reduction before too much longer.
Also on the bright side is the number of vaccinations being given, and this can only help the situation here in the UK to improve - but it's not an "instant fix".
Nothing ever is with a virus.
I agree Zaphod, the media seem to be obsessing with the death rate
to me?? They hardly mention the fact that new infections have almost
halved in the last two weeks alone? And that the vaccination rate
is at a quarter of a million per day approx ??
Which imo is grounds for optimism especially as ten new vaccination
centres were opened just this week !!
The vacc programme is very well organised and gets better by the
day so we should soon see a drop in the death numbers as well??
And long term l think it will be found that the virus has helped the
economy rather than harmed it due to the natural culling effect that
is presently taking place ??
