Have you only just realised? We've been in lockdown for a week now.

As for your comment about the government not knowing what to do...............I'm not a Boris lover - but to be fair, how would anyone know what to do?

I know exactly what I'd do.
I'd buy some water cannon in preparation for the next 'demonstration' (riot) and the next, and the next.

I don't necessarily disagree with him trying to stop people spreading the disease, but why concentrate on sensible, well-behaved people and let the yobs carry on freely?

We all know the answer, of course. He's afraid of numbers because we don't have enough police and the judiciary fail to support him.

I agree with all that.....................and we also don't have enough medical staff or hospitals to cope with these rising numbers. Boris should be well aware of the reasons for that!

A lockdown will sort everything out, we know that from Victoria going from an exponential growth in cases to no cases in 12 days. The problem is that it has to be complete and thorough like the Melbourne lockdown and backed up with penalties.

Re: Chinese Coronavirus

I misled you, Victoria has had no new cases for a fortnight today so their 14 day rolling average is now zero. They want their borders to be opened to NSW and SA now.

When I was looking at the above article in today's ABC News I copied this:

Note that the vertical axis is a logarithmic scale, this gives an easier to understand graph because of the exponential rise of the disease when it gets out of control. EG the Victorian outbreak took Australia from 9000 to 27000 in a matter of weeks.

Australians will be able to travel between all states and territories except Western Australia by Christmas, under a new agreement struck between the nation's leaders.

The Prime Minister, Scotty from Marketing, said National Cabinet had also agreed to public health measures to ensure states and territories remain open in 2021.

More than 400,000 Australians have returned home from abroad since the outbreak of the pandemic. A further 30,000 Australians are still seeking to return home.

Scotty said the list of people wanting to return had continued to grow as conditions deteriorated with the northern hemisphere heading into winter.

He said the national priority was getting Australians home first, which meant pilot programs to bring international students into Australia were unlikely to happen this year.

Re: Chinese Coronavirus

South Australia is staring down a new coronavirus cluster, with four people outside of hotel quarantine diagnosed with COVID-19.

SA Health said on Sunday an 80-year-old woman had tested positive after being treated at the Lyell McEwin Hospital in Adelaide's northern suburbs.

Two of her close contacts — a woman in her 50s and a man in his 60s — have also tested positive for the disease.

Chief Public Health Officer Nicola Spurrier said one of them worked in Adelaide's CBD at one of the state's medi-hotels — accommodation used by incoming travellers and local residents who could not safely quarantine at home.

South Australia's last positive case without a known source of transmission was reported on April 16 — seven months ago.

SA has not had any cases outside hotel quarantine for weeks so this just shows how things can change almost overnight.

Re: Chinese Coronavirus

Boris Johnson is self-isolating after MP tests positive for Covid-19.

I hope this is just a precaution and he doesn't have to suffer again.
