Yep, for the technically minded, it's called placebic water.

I'm fairly "technically minded" but I've never heard of "placebic water" .....

I.e. water.

Perfumed shower gel is a strange concept. The whole point of a shower is to remove any residue of anything other than water. If something leaves a scent, then the shower has failed.

Nor have I, but it sounded intellectual at the time

The point is that certain things actually do no benefit other than the most basic of requirements (ie dissolving surface fats which may hold odorous toxins), but which smell nice during the process, and which should be totally removed by the end of the shower.

Re: Highly Perfumed Men

I remember a fictitious perfume we used to joke about as teenagers. It was called, 'Midnight Behind The Gasworks'.

I use a roll-on unperfumed underarm deodorant called Sanex Dermo Sensitive. It's the pits.

Re: Highly Perfumed Men

Mmmmmm....

You ladies know that fragrance - the smell of a freshly showered and shaved man - neck, hair, chest, skin, jacket, freshly laundered shirt when you have snuggled up close (or are dancing) as you rest your head on his chest. One of life's greatest pleasures!

So, don't you men go wearing anything that would repel us from getting that close or otherwise wreck that deliciously sensuous experience.

IMHO .
