Fermented foods

Anyone make their own fermented foods?

Sauerkraut, home-made yogurt, kefir, veg etc?

Re: Fermented foods

I regularly make yoghurt using EasiYo. Occasionally I'll make small quantities of soft cheese too, when I have too much milk in the fridge.

I'll look up the recipe later (after our visitors have gone home and the house is back to normal!), and post the recipe on here. It's dead easy, and tastes great.

Re: Fermented foods

We make our own yoghurt used to use easiyo but discovered that the old methods are the best.

Re: Fermented foods

I tried making yoghurt when I kept my dairy goats, but I could never quite get the hang of it and as far as I can remember, I don't think it ever set properly - same as my jam making attempts.
