Re: Advice please - water problem

Sorry for all the questions, it's a long time since I did this and I keep thinking of things to ask.

Did the water stop all of a sudden or slow to a trickle first?
At the pump how many pipes run to the house(1 I guess?)

Can you see where the pipe work splits to the various outlets within the house?

Right ok. So although you have two supplies, you only have one pump. Does the water come directly from the well or do you have any storagetanks in the loft?

Water comes directly from well.

Water flow stopped almost immediately, Tpin. I went to fill dog's bowl and there was just a short trickle and it stopped. I'll have a closer look at the pipework and pump to see what I can see.

Re: Advice please - water problem

Usually the water is drawn from the well to a storage tank and there a smaller pressure pump to a pressure tank or its pumped to s header tank that relies on gravity to feed the taps.

Are there any tanks at all?

If there's water to some taps I doubt the pump is at fault.

Not big enough to contain water tanks though let alone install 'em !
