You may very well be right. If I were boris, faced with an extension till januari, I wouldn't feel too sure about the outcome of an election. It could well end my pm-ship. So I would let me be manouvred into a referendum.
If the outcome of the referendum was to take the deal, Boris is the hero of the day. If the outcome is to remain, too bad, but boris would also remain to be the pm for the next five years (2022 election to be scrapped).

The result of the referendum depends on the questions asked
Solly, and one of them must be YES FOR NO DEAL which leaves
only YES FOR BORIS DEAL as the other!!
NO BREXIT will not be allowed as the result of the last rfndm
has not been acted upon yet??

Its not the polls I'm looking at. If you look outside of London you will see how the country voted in the referendum - all those angry people want this sorted out once and for all.

17.4 million and counting ....

Re: Time for Nigel to organise?

I see labour and tories are still snarling at each other in parliament?
So nothing changes there, but is it not time Nigel and Boris got
together to ensure a victory in an election?
I know Boris's first allegience is to the tories, and he has managed
to bring them back from extinction after Mays abysmal PM ship!
But if he means what he has said many times that he will take us
out without a deal if neccassary, which he has allready gone back
on, apllthough with valid excuses, ln view of this l think Nigel
should be setting up for the election from now on?
Perhaps he is waiting for an e!ection to be announced before
committing??

Boris and nigel are on their own separate roads, diverging instead of converging.

ha ha - no they aren't. Not one bit !

Just look at the leavers on here - they are more determined to leave than ever. Multiply that across the country.

You also need to factor in the other (third) type of voter - the "sovereign remainer" - the person who wants to remain but values democracy of the country more so will vote with the country. Add another huge bunch of voters in favour of the only two parties respecting the referendum - conservative and Brexit Party.

Dream on...

Like one poster recently stated, remainers no longer visit the brexit part of OFF thanks to the friendly exchange of arguments. Transfer that to the country, and it becomes your worst nightmare.
