Re: More Brexit Doom and Gloom

Did I misread the newspapers yesterday (or was it the day before)? I'm pretty sure that, splashed all over the front of them were banner headlines shouting out that China had gone back into lockdown. Funny that I heard nothing about it on the TV and radio news broadcasts.

Like bread stated in post # 45, the UK lifted lockdown last week. Your reference shows what can happen if you lift too early. However, your example is a bit inapplicable because of the size of china. The referenced regio has not been in lockdown, but instead is experiencing its first infections, probably due to wuhan patients travelling there.

Of course he is. The reports stated that cities previously released from lockdown were also involved.

Exactly Percy.

Its because of Chinas lies we are in this mess in the first place. Nobody believes them now - in fact in one study over 70% of Americans said they would be perfectly happy to pay more for their stuff if it was made anywhere else other than China.

Here comes the consumer sanctions on China from the world.

Can't wait. I'm prepared to pay a few quid more for replacement items. In fact, I'd even go as far as buying German produced items - I have done in the past and would do in the future.

It says 108 million in lockdown.

Why do you think this is so brilliant?

Because you stated in post #45 that the UK lifted lockdown last week. Which would be far too soon, leading to a second peak in incidence and death. Just like in china.
