Interesting home coming

Came home and couldn't get my front door open it was like something was against it stopping me push it open. Mind started working couldn't figure it out at all, pushed some more but not getting anywhere fast. Dogs were getting fed up of sitting out on the landing and I had no idea how I was going to get us in.

Neighbour came up the stairs and offered his shoulder to push it open, bit of a struggle but he got us in, where I found the post man has delivered (through the letter box) a boxed 8 foot venetian blind which had wedged against the cupboard in the hallway and under the letter box causing the problem.

Looked at the label and it isn't even ours it should have gone to flat upstairs !

I am not sure how well it will fit a window now as it has bent almost in half in the struggle

Are you certain it was the Post Office?

I don't know what to make of that Julie, a bit stupid forcing it through the letterbox wasn't it, and the wrong flat too, any damage done to the door or the package?

Re: Interesting home coming

Very bent venetian blind I think and the cupboard has a lovely big scratch. Waiting for the neighbour to come home so we can approach hermes together I have a feeling that will work better than both of us individually having a rant.

It seems every company is under pressure to deliver, come what may! Feel sorry for your neighbour and your home, under attack!

Good Lord! What a daft thing to do. I hope you and your neighbour get some sort of compensation.
