I`m still wondering

About a bird I saw a couple of days ago and again yesterday.

I could swear it was a Black Kite. We have Red Kites not so very far away but this was not a Red. I have seen loads of Black ones in Southern India but never before in the UK.

Is there any other bird of prey that resembles a kite?-I can`t think of any

Sorry PPH I wouldn't know - European black kite? The RSPB help line may be able to tell you!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Kite

The only birds of prey I see locally are buzzards when I go up to the field with Loki!!

Hope you find out what it was - would love to hear if you do find out!

Take care.

I too looked there-I`m sure it was one. Probably just passing through and it will become a memory of something I knew I saw

Oh please find out and let us know, is the Springwatch board still running ask on there, I've never seen a kite in my life, we either don't get them here or I've always missed them.
Just found this site, it might be on there.
