Re: Roberts Poems (part 3)

I shot an arrow into the air
A dangerous thing to do
Even so I boldly dared
New venture s to pursue
I am a man of modest ways
And means you could say too
But what a scene I stood amazed
At the lofty arrow heads view

Hey you down there
Yes I am talking just to you
Life is to affirm and share
With friends and family too
The air up here is rare and clear
No crouching shadows for us to fear
No petty feuds, or false offence
Just love and joy and commonsense
Way up here is supreme release
from things which take away our peace
I wish you all could see what I’ve seen

How shall I describe where can I begin
There is no time there
No minutes hours
No bells no chimes
Carpets of flowers
No want no waste
No hunger or thirst
No ears, no haste
No voice to converse
No spiteful tongue
To spread unrest
All hate is gone
When East meets west

Alas and alack
The arrow fell back
With it came reality
For now its back to best and worst
that’s what it now seems to be
For now, life is a mystery
Our lives are just a passing thing
And we have our part to play
Be glad run and dance and sing
Life means living full each day

Re: Roberts Poems (part 3)

Heaven is a wondrous place
Where all is calm, devoid of race
No black no white, no in-between
Precious metals, jewels are seen
Silver streams gush and flow
Golden raindrops , bright rainbows
I once went there I know not how or when,
I would like to go again
It was a wondrous place
I knew every face
Smiling at me amongst precious stones
Speaking softly in dulcet tones
“Is he coming soon” wafted the voice
“All in God’s time” then we’ll rejoice
His father’s here and now his mother
The heads turned , smiling at each other
“He’s struggling, can’t we bring him to Glory?”
“ A little longer , when he has finished his story”.

The church bells are ringing
Choir will be singing
THis is the day that the Lord has made
Hope today the world will engage

IN a breakout of peace
Good will released
A new dawn
old world gone

Jem, thank you.

Although it doesn't appear so at the moment, Love is generally stronger than hate in the end. Am I in a bubble,

Sorry RJ but not so. You’ll have to wait a good few years before you get your Waffling and farting license, I will let you know where to apply for it when you hit 70, only then can you legally waffle and fart, even both at the same time should one wish (section 2 paragraph 4). I am now a fully licensed waffler and farter and proud of it I may add.
