The state is useless at running anything- the NHS has been exposed from the covid pandemic it has serious
restrictions in operational capabilities and hygiene issues and infrastructure is always sacrificed to pay for it.

The government should invest massively into out rail and infrastructure then sell it off. The same with the NHS.
I thought that was what they did Bread ?
Well the railways anyway !!
And look at the crap it caused ??

You can't run privatised services on state owned infrastructure. The whole lot should be privatised

Because other countries have overcome years of state neglect whereas we haven't.

Annie !!
It tends to end up in one or two pockets only !!
Whereas a product has to be produced and people have to be payed
to produce them !!
Take something like Virgin Cola, Branson "owns" the name, but
he never owned a bottling company, but takes a high percentage
of the profits generated without being involved in production ??

So why did'nt the private owners buy out the infrastructure Bread ?
Could it be that they wanted the state to maintain it for them
ad-infinitum ??
But l agree, it should never have been split, it should be either one
or the other and if it's totally private, then state bail outs must not
take place !!

Well for one thing, government's have a problem getting their tax
share from the the tax havens that the money gets paid into ?
Plus it tends to put the consumer price up by creating a so
called "brand" that costs more ?

They couldn't buy the infrastructure - there has to be separate accounting and funding for infrastructure and the services. That was the whole point of EU directive 91/440 and why we are in this mess.

You say "couldn't buy " the infrastructure Bread ? More like
"Wouldn't" if they made up a rule ( 91/440?) to enforce no sale ??
Seems they plotted from the beginning to suck UK dry in that case !!
