Surgery Rehab free time

Hi just had an op and have six weeks off work. Now I'm not one for sitting watching the television but I have to take it easy.
Anyone got any ideas how to pass the time?

A model building kit could be interesting if you like that sort of thing ... buildings, boats, aircraft, cars etc.

If the weather's good, gentle walks in the countryside.

My husband enjoys rug making that is quite an easy sit down and rest type thing, he knits too if that appeals.

Hi Mick, sorry to hear about the enforced inactivity but good to know it's for a good reason!

It so much depends on what interests you, whether you're a wordy person or a doing person, if you get my drift!

I had weeks of inactivity and recuperation a few years ago and I read and read and read until my eyes almost dropped out! Also sodukos and enigma code puzzles which I love.
Used to wander down to the paper shop and get an i - brilliant value - and attack the puzzles page daily.

Gentle regular walks are good and you often see the same people especially if they walk dogs.

You're a bit young for the slippers and tele club! But sometimes a box set of a good drama can't be beat and there are dozens to choose from these days.

Morning Mick

You could research your family history.......I run courses for beginners and could send you the course notes.

Re: Surgery Rehab free time

Hi thanks for all the replies. Can only do short walks to build up strength but its something doctor says I must do. Like reading and gardening but limited to what can do. Before op I got old guitar down from loft and restrung it and planning to try to play again.
Thought it would be good to have a few chats with a few people on the forum also.

Good Mick - sounds like you've worked out your own options anyway!
