He's no bigamist

There was an old party of Lyme
Who married three wives at a time
when asked "Why the third?"
He replied "One's absurd
And bigamy, Sir, is a crime"

Re: He's no bigamist

Good one Derek. I used to know lots of them when I went to school, I often got a clip on the ear for saying some of the ruder ones at home, but I was so young I never knew what they really meant. I remember this one clearly as we used to have a huge dresser in our house back then.

There was an old Woman God bless her
She threw her leg over the dresser
The dresser was high
And banged off her thigh
Now she is one leg the lesser.

Re: He's no bigamist

My cousin in Bognor's a bigger Miss
The ground shakes when she ventures out
Dogs bark, horses bolt, cats loudly hiss
Street vendors gather to rant & shout
Oh dear, I misread the word, bigamist

Nice one Robert. Did you compose this yourself? The only rhymes I can put to paper are other people's.

Thanks for the welcome.

Re: He's no bigamist

welcome Derek we can show irreverence around here! but we are like the curates eggs - good in parts

there was an old vicar from Staines
who would often get up to his games
When the Bishop dropped in and was moody as sin
he would shout the Bishoprics come in again!
