Going out next Wednesday for a birthday lunch for a friend and a get together. Pub garden outside . First since lockdown .

Its sunny outside so I nipped to the shops...bad idea, gosh, they were heaving I left fairly quickly. I don't think I'll be socialising anytime soon, unless its with a flask of coffee I made myself and a megaphone.....

Yes, it's an appointment this afternoon for the second coronavirus vaccination,
nothing really enjoyable but I guess worthwhile.

I dont do beer gardens anymore but my friend and I did pizza express yesterday and it was lovely sat in the sun

I've been out and about down town, but not to pubs. I'm not a drinker anyway, but if I was I wouldn't be stupid enough to pay £6 to £7 a pint. The pubs are going to commit suicide with those prices and end the financial ruin Covid started. Literally Greedy Bar-stewards.

Went to a car boot til 12 p.m. then met Son, who drove himself there, at a Gun shop. We got a bit lost on the way, but he'd gone straight there, then Daughter pointed out he had been before.
I spent money on items he wanted as it was part of his Christmas & Birthday money. We, daughter & I were disappointed there wasn't more variety of goods in the gun shop, nothing really for us to look at, loads of different types of guns on display though, all safely locked with alarms attached. There were hundreds & Son drooled over a few. I said, 'you've got enough'.
He's off shooting tomorrow, targets & clays, first time for nearly a year. He does belong to a gun club.

Here in the Midlands the garden centres are chucking out thousands of plants destroyed by frosts.

This horrifies me...you would think they would take more care over them...protect them if the forecast doesn't look good etc. I wonder if any can be saved at all....likely not. Very sad.
